NASCAR Pro Drives Interest for Aneurysm Awareness

NASCAR driver Joey Gase paid a recent visit with Goodman Campbell physician Andrew Denardo and the stroke team at IU Health Neuroscience before racing in the 2017 Brickyard 400.

Gase finished 25th in the race after being taken out early by an accident – but is still going strong as an ambassador for the Lisa Collagrossi Foundation to promote awareness for aneurysms. Lisa Collagrossi was a New York-based reporter for ABC who died of a brain aneurysm in 2016.

Aneurysm is a topic that has also touched this driver’s life in a very personal way; Gase’s mother died from a rupture six years ago.

During the recent Brickyard 400, Gase’s car exclusively sported the Foundation’s logo on the hood as a way to remember loved ones through their stories.
