Eric M. Horn, MD, PhD

Eric M. Horn, MD, PhD, obtained his doctoral degree in neuroscience from the University of Illinois and his medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical Scholars program. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix, AZ. He also completed subspecialty fellowships in complex spinal neurosurgery and spinal trauma at the Barrow Neurological Institute under Drs. Volker Sonntag, MD, and Nicholas Theodore, MD. He came to Indiana to practice with Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine.

In addition to his teaching and clinical practice, Dr. Horn is collaborating with neuroscientists on research studies that will lead to novel treatments for brain and spinal cord injuries. His numerous peer-reviewed publications appear in clinical and scientific journals.

Dr. Horn’s clinical interests include outpatient spine surgery, cervical spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, complex spine conditions, spine tumors, degenerative spine disorders, and spine trauma. 

Dr. Horn is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society, the American Medical Association, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Indiana State Medical Association, among others. From 2015-2018, his peers awarded him as a Top Doctor in Neurological Surgery in Indianapolis Monthly.
