Kushal J. Shah, MD

Dr. Kushal Shah graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he completed a 6 year combined BA/MD program. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center, followed by a fellowship with Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine focusing on skull base surgery, neurosurgical oncology and vascular neurosurgery. Dr. Shah worked at the University of Kansas for many years before rejoining the team at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine. Dr. Shah specializes in complex cranial conditions including brain tumors and aneurysms, as well as spine disorders and spinal tumors. His clinical interests include treatment of brain tumors, pituitary tumors, vascular disorders (aneurysms, AVMs, carotid disease), trigeminal neuralgia, spinal disorders, and spinal tumors. His research interests include quality improvement and patient safety, neurosurgical education, stroke, brain tumors and more. Dr. Shah is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He has been an invited speaker at multiple regional and national meetings.

In his spare time, he enjoys time with his family, playing and watching sports, traveling, photography and music.
